Airport Workers Union Australia is a newly established, independent and worker-led organisation dedicated to supporting airport workers across Australia. We bring workers together to promote fair treatment, safer workplaces, stronger representation and access to valuable member support.
Our vision is to build a united national community for workers across Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin airports. Whatever your role or employer, every airport worker deserves to be heard, respected and supported.

Airport workers from a wide range of roles and employers are welcome to apply for membership, including workers in ground operations, catering, baggage handling, transport, security, cleaning, customer service, maintenance, administration and other airport-related services. Membership remains subject to the union’s eligibility requirements. Membership is currently free for eligible airport workers.

We are an independent, worker-led membership organisation founded on a simple promise: no airport worker should have to face workplace concerns, legal difficulties, injury or personal challenges alone.
Membership is currently free during our development stage, giving airport workers the opportunity to join, participate and access our growing network of support.

Until registration is approved, Airport Workers Union Australia operates as an independent worker-led membership organisation and support network. We do not represent ourselves as a registered organisation or claim statutory rights reserved for registered organisations or authorised permit holders.
